Frequently asked questions

From what age can you do hip-hop at GiZeta?

+
From age 6 and up. At the Sagnino and Uggiate con Ronago studios the groups are divided by age (6-9 years, over 9, over 10 depending on the venue), so that children work alongside others at the same level and progress together at a comfortable, encouraging pace.

Do I need to know how to dance?

+
No: you start from the fundamentals. Hip-hop is learnt by dancing, repeating the steps until they become second nature. In the first few lessons it's completely normal to feel a little awkward, and then the body takes over on its own. Everyone starts somewhere, so there's nothing to worry about.

What should I wear?

+
Comfortable, sporty clothing and clean trainers with a sole suited to a wooden floor. Bring a bottle of water too: these classes work up a real sweat. That's really all you need to get started and enjoy your very first lesson with us.

Is there an end-of-year show?

+
Yes: as with the other dance courses, at the end of the season a choreography is prepared to perform. It's the moment when the children get to show everyone what they've learnt over the year, and it's always a proud, exciting occasion for dancers and families alike.

Do I need a medical certificate?

+
Yes: from age 6 and up a non-competitive medical certificate is required, to be handed in when you register. It's a standard requirement for our courses, so it's best to arrange it with your doctor in good time before the first lesson.

How much does hip-hop cost at GiZeta?

+
Hip-Hop: 9 € per lesson. On top there is the annual membership fee of 20 €, valid for the whole sports season (1 September – 31 August): it does not include the courses, which are paid per lesson. You’ll find the full price list, the calculation formula and the family discount on the Prices page.

How does signing up for a course work?

+
You sign up for the course and start right away: choose the course, reserve your spot and at your first lesson you are already in. Message us on WhatsApp or fill in the contact form and we’ll tell you available spots, schedules and how to complete your registration.

What if I can no longer continue the course?

+
If during the season a significant issue means you can no longer continue, just talk to the office: together we’ll find the most suitable solution.

How do make-up lessons work?

+
In Sagnino and Uggiate con Ronago make-up lessons are reserved for adult courses: 4 make-up lessons to use within the current cycle, or in the next one if you re-enrol. No make-up lessons are provided for children’s courses.
