Is GiZeta's G.A.G. done in the water or in the gym?
+
At Grandola, G.A.G. is a water class: it takes place in the pool, heated to 32 °C. The water's resistance makes the work on legs, abdomen and glutes effective and, at the same time, gentle on the joints. (At the Sagnino and Uggiate studios there are body-weight G.A.G. variations, offered within the Total Body class.)
What does G.A.G. mean?
+
G.A.G. stands for the Italian words for legs, abdomen and glutes (Gambe, Addome e Glutei): it's a toning workout aimed at the lower body and the deep core muscles. In the water the load on the joints is reduced, so it also suits people who struggle with their knees or back on dry land.
Do I need to know how to swim?
+
No. You work in shallow water, standing up, with exercises supported or against the poolside. All you need is to feel comfortable in shallow water. There's no swimming involved, so being a confident swimmer isn't necessary — the pool depth and the exercises are chosen precisely so everyone can take part safely.
How much does G.A.G. in water cost?
+
G.A.G. in water costs 14 € per lesson, like the other water classes at Grandola. On top of that there's a one-off annual membership fee of 20 € per season, which doesn't cover the courses themselves. You'll find the complete price list on the Prices page, where every class is listed in full.
Do I need a medical certificate?
