Where are the GiZeta Sport locations?
+
GiZeta Sport has three locations in the province of Como: the heated pool in Grandola ed Uniti (Alto Lario, between Menaggio and Porlezza) and the studios in Uggiate con Ronago — the town formerly known as Uggiate-Trevano, in the Swiss border area — and in Sagnino, in the city of Como. Each location has dedicated courses for adults and children.
What temperature is the water in the Grandola pool?
+
The Grandola ed Uniti pool is indoor and heated to 32 °C all year round. Only for the courses dedicated to babies, on Wednesday mornings, the water is raised to 34 °C. The warm water makes the pool ideal for water confidence, prenatal water fitness, aquatic-therapy and for anyone looking for gentle activity on the joints.
What water courses does GiZeta offer?
+
At the Grandola pool you will find baby & toddler water confidence for ages 2 months–4 years, a children’s swimming school, adult and beginner swimming, aquagym, acquastep, prenatal water fitness, aquatic-therapy, acquapilates and G.A.G. in water. All courses take place in warm water, in small groups led by qualified instructors.
What studio courses does GiZeta offer?
+
In the studios (Grandola, Uggiate con Ronago and Sagnino) you can do pilates, yoga, total body, gentle and postural fitness, dance-fitness, body fusion, pre-dance, modern dance and hip-hop, belly dance and psychomotricity for children. Courses for all ages, from the youngest to seniors.
Do I need a medical certificate to sign up?
+
Yes: everyone aged 6 and over needs a non-competitive medical certificate. Under the age of 6 it is not required.
How does signing up for a course work?
+
You sign up for the course and start right away: choose the course, reserve your spot and you are already in at your first lesson. Message us on WhatsApp or fill in the contact form and we’ll let you know availability, schedules and how to complete your registration. If, during the season, a significant issue means you can no longer continue, just talk to the office: together we’ll find the best solution.
Are the courses suitable for people who have never swum?
+
Absolutely. Adult swimming courses start in the shallow water, with floating and breathing exercises, and there is a dedicated path for those who are afraid of the water. Children too are placed in the right group for their age and level.
Is GiZeta convenient for people coming from Switzerland?
+
Yes: the Uggiate con Ronago location is in the border area and Grandola is close to the Lugano and Ceresio basin. Many cross-border commuters and Swiss and German visitors attend the courses: write to us and we’ll find the most suitable option together.
